WORKSHOP ON CYBER LAW AT G.G.S. INDRAPRASTHA UNIVERSITY, DELHI.

Legal Assistance Forum participated in Workshop on 'Legal Aid: Conceptual Dimensions and Practical Difficulties' at the University School of Law and Legal Studies, GGSIP University, Delhi. It was part of training programme for Afghan Law Teachers from 21st January to 16th March, 2006 for restructuring the legal education system of Afghanistan.

Mr. Vijay Hansaria, President, LAF who was the Guest of Honour on the 25.2.2006 spoke at length to about 22 Afghan teachers on the topic ‘Cyber Law’ and its increasing relevance in today’s world in the presence of Prof. M. Afzal Wani, Dean, Guru Govind Singh Indraprashta University, Prof. Yogesh Singh, Dean University of Information Technology, a large number of teachers and students. He urged the Afghan teachers to train themselves well in computer skills during the two months training programme in India so that they are computer friendly when they step back on their motherland. He dealt extensively on various dimensions of Cyber Law specifically on internet crimes and Information Technology Act, 2000 of India. Prof. Yogesh Singh delivered his lecture and there was an interaction session between the Cyber Law teachers and the guest speakers in which various queries were answered.
