Project Soharthm i.e. Social Harmony Through Mediation is a project to legally empower common people to resolve their disputes, either without or with minimum involvement of the Courts by educating, training and motivating members of the local self governing bodies i.e., panchayats and municipalities, to legally document and to make more efforts for dispute resolution within existing legal framework. The project was explained to His Excellency Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, President of India at Rashtrapati Bhawan by the members of the project implementation committee comprising of its Chairman Mr. S.Krishnakumar, IAS (Retd.), Former Minister, Govt. of India, Mr. Vijay Hansaria, President, LAF, Mr. P.I. Jose, Secretary, LAF and Mr. Jayesh.K.U, Project Coordinator.

The team members explained the objects and vision of LAF to H.E. the President and Dr. Kalam was full praises for the object of LAF and the work done by them.

Dr. Kalam took keen interest in the presentation and appreciated the idea. He was of the view that it will reduce the arrears of cases and promote social harmony.
